A month of honoring, celebrating and mourning

I was born on June 19th, so June has always been a special month for me. It’s also the month my Mother, my Aunt, my Husband and my Granddaughter were born. June is Pride month and Juneteenth is the day we honor and celebrate Black liberation. This June was the first Father’s Day without my Dad and it was a rough one. For me, this June has been full. I’ve mourned loss, welcomed another cycle around the sun and celebrated life, and Pride and Liberation. I am greatful for all the abundance in my life and will continue to work hard every day toward creating a more just and equitable world for every human being. In the words of the great civil rights leader Fannie Lou Hamer “Nobody's free until everybody's free.”

See you you the journey,

Robin
